Michael Carder
Raised in the hills of West Virginia, Michael learned early about hard work, resilience, and responsibility. At just 18 years old, he began working as a correctional officer. It didn’t take long for him to see the worst in people, and over time he became bitter and angry with life. After he turned 21, he met Crystal, and after only a few months of dating, the two married and committed to building a life together. Within four years, they welcomed three children. Yet even as life moved quickly forward, Michael sensed that something was missing and began to wonder if there was more to life than what he was living.
In an attempt to fill that emptiness, Michael became consumed with buying the latest “big kid” toys and chasing temporary satisfaction through worldly possessions. But when he was injured on the job, everything changed. In a season of confusion and uncertainty, Michael and his wife were providentially offered Bible studies. It was there that Michael fell in love with the words of Jesus and the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Since that time, he and his family have shared a deep desire to point others to the same truth they discovered. Together, they carry a burning passion to serve God for the rest of their lives and to share the gospel with the world wherever they are called.
